Love is in the air!

I know it doesn't seem that long since Christmas but it's only a couple of weeks until St Valentine's Day! That means it's time for a Valentine's offer on the website - spend £25 or more on jewellery or workshop places before the end of 14th February and receive a free pair of fine silver stud earrings, a pair of heart studs shown above. Another reason to drop your loved one a subtle (or not so subtle!) hint!

I didn't want to leave my blog readers out, though, so it's time for the first Daisychain blog giveaway of 2009. All you have to do is leave me a comment on this post before midnight on Wednesday and you're in the draw! The competition is open to those of you who aren't in the UK too, and if you leave an anonymous comment please remember to leave your name so that I don't get confused. Good luck!
By the way, the comment doesn't have to be on any particular subject, but if anyone out there has discovered the cure for the common cold then I would be grateful if you could let me know!

  6. Lovely earrings, Jo!

Can't help with the cold, but if you have a cough... when you go to bed, rub Vick into the soles of your feet, put on some socks and you won't cough during the night! Don't know how it works, but it does!!

  7. Love those earrings!

Try a shot of the whisky in the lemon and honey, it's good for fighting the germs ;)

  8. I love those earrings.
Personally I'd go for for brandy, lemon and honey but that only because I don't like whisky. At least you'll get a good night's sleep.
With my serious fitness instructors head on though, plenty of fluid (of any kind, doesn't matter if it's water, tea, lemon and honey, whatever) keep warm and providing you don't have any joint pain do a little exercise like a 20 minute walk or gentle class and eat the things that make you feel good about yourself. Follow this with a warm bath or shower and a 15 minute rest and I promise you'll feel much more able to deal with feeling a bit crap.

  9. Beautiful earings! I don't have suggestions for curing the common cold either. I just like hot ribena or hot lemon (squeezed from a lemon) and honey if my throat is sore. If my head is feeling stuffed up then I might take a short walk - but only if the weather isn't too extreme! Hope you're soon feeling better.

  12. Hi Jo,
Love the texture on those earrings ! We've all got a flu thing here at the moment - and BH away on a business trip ! I dose myself up on Paracetamol and don't even think about doing any housework - that seems to work !
    Hope you're better soon.

  13. Here's some feedback to cheer you up during your recovery.

The jewellry that I have recently bought from you is fast becoming a favourite of mine, as everytime I wear it,(which is often) I see someone stare and often they comment on how striking it is. Keep up the good work.

  14. Try a mixture of chamomile and peppermint tea with lots of fresh lemon and honey. We make many pots of it every day at the moment. Also tastes great cold or warm for people who are not so into tea...
Lovely earrings! I'm wearing the little stars today...
I love the gloves! Thanks again!
